Ross Reviews Role of Representative Government
1/7/2010

Rep. Chris Ross (R-Chester) discusses what it means to live under a representative government in the newest “5 Minutes with Chris Ross” video.

“In a representative government, we elect people to develop consensus and good laws that properly address the issues,” Ross said.

Ross said that several of the bills he has worked on have taken three or four years to enact because it can take that long to find common ground among legislators from throughout the state.

“Better communication between the people and their representatives can help create better laws,” Ross said. “We need to share what we are dealing with and the public should, in turn, tell us what their priorities are.”
